My primary objective in choosing this course was to build my writing skills. Since this Freshman Composition I course totally focuses on writing essays, I have learned from reading material carefully to express it through writing. A proper reading habit is necessary to better understand a concept or own thoughts, which has helped me with that. I was always unable to give a proper body, thesis, or conclusion to the essay or, let us say, any writings. Throughout this course, I have learned step by step how to begin explaining a topic with background, continue with a thesis and jump to complete the body and lastly, conclusion. This was easy when I learned to write an outline for the essay before start writing the actual essay.
